I've been in residential roofing for 8 years and I've installed hundreds of gutter splash guards on steep roofs. We have installed splash guards up to 20 inches tall and water still splashed out of the gutters. I recently tried a new product called the "BAT"! It was super easy to install and worked perfectly. We even installed them on a 14-12 roof with a metal 30' valley and not one drop of water got by it. This is one of the best new roofing products I've ever seen. No nails, no screws, no staples. Just stick it on and forget about the problem.

I just had one installed and it fixed my problem. My house used to be like Niagara Falls whenever it rained hard. After installing The BAT we had remnants of Hurricane Cindy come through dumping 4 inches of rain in four hours and all the water was diverted without any overflow.
